What most people call an AK-47 is actually just a Kalashinikov Ak-47 only refers to the very earliest variant built in the early 1950’s (I I believe I’ve read that it was never actually calle. Unfortunately with the exception of the later MAK-90s from 19 which had the 93 and 94 in front of the serial number, I don't know of any other Norincos that had date stamps, and serial numbers are also not a way to determine true import date because I have seen pre-Bush1-ban 56S with higher serial numbers than post-Bush1-ban MAK-90s, which are nothing more than a 56S with all the Bush1 demanded evil features removed.
